Transient Electronics as Sustainable Systems: From Fundamentals to Applications

The unique attribute of transient technology is that it promotes the potential for design and implementation sustainable systems through their capability to fully or partially disintegrate after a predefined period stable operation. Transient electronics have wide range applications as biomedical implants, environmental sensors, hardware-secured devices. Controlled disintegration such without need harsh solvents step toward realizing green electronics. In this short review, recent progress in development studied. First, an overview materials, both substrate electronic component, described. Second, mechanisms under which transiency occurs, including aqueous dissolution thermal degradation, are reported. Third, manufacturing techniques fabrication reviewed. And last, various devices discussed.
